To renovate and upgrade the facilities at heritage sites and transform Bhutan’s museums, the Ministry of Home Affairs has launched a global fundraising campaign titled “Building Fund for the Museums of Bhutan.”
With a target of USD 12 M, equivalent to more than Nu 1bn, the fund seeks to create outdoor venues at the National Museum in Paro, the Royal Heritage Museum in Trongsa, and the archaeological site of Trashigang Ta-Dzong. These spaces will be designed to host international conferences and cultural events.
As part of this initiative, the ministry signed a marketing partnership agreement with Druk Asia, a travel agency, at Paro Ta-Dzong today.
