Mr. Dorji Duba has a Bachelor’s degree in Language & Culture Studies from the Institute of Language & Culture Studies, Semtokha, Thimphu. His outstanding performance in the BCSE-2011 (Dzongkha Category), secured his direct entry into civil service. Starting as an Assistant Dzongkha Coordinator I within the Legal Service under the Royal Civil Service Commission, Dorji Duba’s role evolved into Assistant Language Development Officer, reflecting his growing skills and responsibilities. As a champion of language development, Dorji Duba significantly boosted Dzongkha usage within the RCSC. His dedication is evident from his tenure of over a decade since joining in January 2012. Despite staffing challenges, he willingly took on the role of Human Resource Officer, demonstrating his adaptability and commitment. Transitioning to a new phase in his career, Dorji Duba joined the esteemed Dzongkha Development Division under the Department of Culture Dzongkha Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, starting May 1st, 2023.

Mr. Tsheten Dorji obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Language and Literature from the College of Language and Culture Studies, Taktse. Demonstrating exceptional proficiency in Dzongkha, he secured the top position in the BCSE (Bhutan Civil Service Examination) Dzongkha category examination in 2016, showcasing his dedication and aptitude in the language. In 2017, he embarked on his professional journey as an Assistant Language Development Officer at the Dratshang Lhentshog, where he began contributing to the development and promotion of Dzongkha language and literature. Later, he transitioned to the Dzongkha Development Commission, maintaining the same role and continuing his commitment to language development initiatives. Currently, Mr. Tsheten Dorji serves as a Language Development Officer at the Dzongkha Development Division under the Department of Culture and Dzongkha Development. In this capacity, he plays a crucial role in advancing Dzongkha language within Bhutanese society.

Mr. Karma Loday is a language development officer with a Bachelor’s degree in Language and Literature from the College of Language and Culture Studies, Taktse. His commitment to language proficiency and his passion for learning have been evident throughout his career. In 2017, Mr. Loday demonstrated his exemplary skills by securing the 1st position in the BCSE Dzongkha Category. This achievement highlighted his deep understanding and command of the language. Before joining DoCDD, he served as an Assistant Dzongkha Coordinator at the ICT Division under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forest. Later, he transitioned to the HRD within the same ministry, where he continued his role as an Assistant Language Development Officer.

Mr. Sangay Wangchuk graduated from Sherubtse College with a BA in History and Dzongkha. Prior to joing the civil service, he underwent one month’s Foundational In-service Training (FIT) at Royal Institute of Management, (RIM) in 2020. He was initially appointed as an Assistant Research Officer with DDC and later transferred as Assistant Language Development Officer. Furthermore, Sangay has actively contributed to community service, having participated in the 40th batch of Desuung training. He distinguishes himself as a trained Desuup Plus, equipped with essential skills in basic medical health care. His unwavering passion for learning and boundless optimism fuels his quest to delve into the intricacies of various languages, with a special focus on Dzongkha.

Mr. Tashi Dorji graduated with a BA in Dzongkha and English from Sherubtse College. In 2019, Mr. Dorji achieved remarkable success by securing the first position in the BCSE Dzongkha Category and this accomplishment underscored his interest and dedication in learning and promoting Dzongkha, the national language of Bhutan. He made various contributions in language-related projects aimed at enhancing Dzongkha literary resources, communication and understanding within the community. Currently, Mr. Dorji serves as an Assistant Language Development Officer at the Department of Culture and Dzongkha Development under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Jamyang Loday is a Bachelor of Arts graduate from the College of Language and Culture Studies with a specialization in Language and Literature. Presently, he serves as an Assistant Language Development Officer in the Dzongkha Development Division since 2024. His notable accomplishment includes securing the top position in the RCSE 2023 in the Dzongkha category. In the past, he has worked as a Substitute Teacher, gaining valuable experience in education. Beyond his academic and professional endeavors, Jamyang possesses skills in graphic design, particularly in designing books, journals, and logos. Additionally, he has a keen interest and experience in photography.
